Talboom Deputy <br /> <br />Absent: Mary Beth Wisniewski Chief Deputy <br /> <br /> <br />REPORT FROM THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br /> <br />Councilmember Scott made a motion that the minutes of the May 14, 2012 Meeting of the <br />Council be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded the motion <br />which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br /> <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4181-12 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br /> AWARDING AUSTIN PRICE WITH THE “MAY <br /> 2012 SOUTH BEND CITIZEN YOUTH AWARD” <br /> <br />Whereas, the South Bend Common Council notes that the youth of our city are the hope <br />and promise for a better tomorrow in our community; and <br />Whereas, the Common Council is proud to recognize that AUSTIN PRICE attended <br />LaSalle Academy and is now a Freshman at Washington High School where he is part of the <br />South Bend Community School Corporation’s Medical/Allied Health Magnet Program; and <br />Whereas, the Council notes that AUSTIN is a very talented and gifted - having earned <br />straight A’s this entire school year; is fluent in Spanish and wants to study at either Stanford <br />University of USC as he pursues a career goal of becoming an anesthesiologist; and <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
