Light placed on Sherman Avenue At alley <br />between.Lindsey Street and Van Buren Street. <br />The following communication with petition was presented to the Board <br />and referred to the City Egineer for investigation and report. <br />.South Bend, Ind: ana. February 19,1 <br />1919. <br />Board , of P-ub 1 is Works, <br />South Bend,, Ind... . .. . <br />Gentlemen: - <br />We .herewith enc lose -you a petition for the pavement of the first alley <br />north Of Orange Street running from College Street to Jackson Streetm including <br />four feet -of private property running along the north side of the alley the entire <br />1 ength,. <br />This allearyruns along the south side of our warehouse the full lagth <br />as you;, no doubt, know that our warehouse runs through from College to Jackson <br />This alley is in a, bad condition and at times it is almost impossible for .use to <br />get through with our tru ek, and therefore we hop; you will consider this improve- <br />ment and proceed with same as soon as possible. <br />If the .City should, have a quanity of brick that has been taken up from <br />some other streets that have been improved, this could possibly be used on this <br />improvement , but if not, of course we want a good job done on this pavement. <br />:Thanking you very kindly. for your serious consideration in this matter <br />we remain, <br />Yours truly, <br />JACOBSON PETERSON PELTZ & KAUPER <br />PER A. Needs attention, Eddy <br />Street north of Colfax Avenue, Notre Dam* Avenue . <br />'Street Commissioner reported as follows: - <br />It will be possible to better <br />the condition 69 E, Colfax Avenue brick pavement in the early spring,- North Eddy <br />Street and Notre Dame Streets are beyond repair by the Street Department. <br />( Resurfacing necessary.) <br />D.
