<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC . WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />ST.,, JOSEPH COUNTY, STATE OF INDIANA, that it is dcsir4d and deemed .necessary to illh
<br />prove .Miami Street from the north line of Ewing Avenweto _tie south City limits,
<br />as follows,,. tdrwit: -
<br />Said street _shall be; graded and the roadway thereof: &,hall be
<br />paved; and also the roadway of certain portions of the streets and alleys. - which enter
<br />or, intersect said strejet shall be graded and paved.. The paving material to be used
<br />in ;Waking said Improvement, shall be.Sheet Asphalt, :Bitulithic, asphaltic concrete,
<br />or brick and the: foundat ion, ,shall be - portland cement c9ncriete Five (5) inches thick
<br />for, the, sheet a0hilt, bituilthie, asphaltic.. concrete\ and brick, or rolled gravel
<br />inches inck�es thick,, f1.or, the..,brick; ..also the , cemen.t curb now.. in place on said street shall
<br />be taken out and,socncrete .combination curb.,and gutter shall be constructed along
<br />said street, storm, water inlets and conduits .shall be.constructed where necessary;
<br />all manhole` tops and storm. water inlets shall be set to the proper grade; cement mar-
<br />ginal,curb shall.be.constructedrat_al.l streets and alleys where necessary, all as is
<br />more particularly,shown and all -Lin accordance with.the profiles, plans, detail drawing
<br />and specifications on file in the office of the Department Of P0l is Works of the City
<br />of South Bend, Ind Tana.

<br />"An Act Concerning Municipal Corporations," approved March .0, 1005, and In accordance with and yurenaat
<br />IN00 910-Vi510n0 0f ail acts amendatory and supplemental thereto.
<br />The cost of all street and alley intersections, including one-half of the width of the improvement oppo.
<br />fits street and alleys which run into, but do not cross said roadway herein proposed to be improved and that
<br />ort.io, of such street or alley abutting upon property belonging to said City, or upon property not subject to
<br />,.,ca-zsessment, shall be paid by the City in cash out of its general fund, if able to do so, or from a fund ore -
<br />led by a special assessment to be levied under the provisions of Section 108 of the above entitled Act.
<br />.&uessments of ten dollars and more against each lot, if deferred, are to be paid in ten equal annual in
<br />'l .eat with interest at the rate of Sig per cent per annum. A bond or bonds will be issued to the oon-
<br />or to the amount of such deferred assessments in pro rata payment for such improvement.

<br />�jroceedinge had, and work done in the making of said improvement, assessment of property, collection of w
<br />:4essments and issuance of bonds therefor, shall be as provided for in said above entitled Act, and Acts amend-
<br />40-1Y, thereof and supplemental thereto.
