The following resolution was approved by the Board. <br />R E S GLUT ION. <br />BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Whereas a meeting of the Mayors, City <br />Controllers , City Attorneys, and presidents of the Common Council of Cities of the second <br />class have been requested to attend a meeting of the City of Indiana on the l9th. , day <br />of September 1918, for the purpose of considering ways and means* to all increasing <br />uniformity in cities of the second class in a _1 matters pertaining to the welfare of such <br />c it ies and whereas it is des irable that the off is ials of the C ity of South Bond attend <br />said meet ing : -° <br />THEREFORE be it resolved that the Mayor, City Controller-9 City <br />Attorney, and the President of the Council be authorized and requested to attend said <br />meeting, and that the City'Controller be hereby authorized and directed to pay out of the <br />general fund the necessary expenses of said City officials in attending such meeting and if <br />f or any reason the Pres identc of the Common Council can not attend he is hereby authorized <br />and directed to appoint some other member of the Common .Count it to attend and represent <br />him at such meeting. <br />Communication received from the White Construction Company in .regard <br />to return of $1,403.00 dollar check on Portage Avenue pavementbeing returned.
