Knowall men men by these presents, That the Western Construction Company, as Pr inc ipol, and the Aetna Casualty find -;Surety Company, as surety are hereby held and bound to the City of South Bend, , Ind iana, in the sum of Six hundred fifteen ($615. 00) Dollars for the payment of which well and truly to be made, they . jo iniLly and severally bind themselves the it :heirs, executors, adminstrat ors and assigns by these presents. , The conditions of the above obligations are such, that whereas the above bound The Western Construction Company has completed. the .work under the contract for the paving of Blaine Avenue from Lincoln Way West, to La Porte Avenue, in the City of South Bend, Indiana,, with, Trinidad Lake Asphaltic concrete, under Improvement Resolution No. 565 adopted by the department of Public Works of the City of South Bend, on the 19th, , day of February ,1918. NOW if the above bound The Western Construction Company shall for a period of Five (5) years from date mf maintain such pavement, and during such time shall make all repairs which may be necessary from aby rotting, crumbling or disintregration of the - materials, or whisk are caused by any imperfection in.workmanship, and shall strictly observe and abide by Sections 41 to 45 ins lus ive, of th General Specifications (Form C j ) for street improvements,, hereto attached, adopted by the Department of Public Works of the City -of South Bend, and shall fulfill all the c and it ions and stp iluat ions th rein contained these -oblig tions shall be void, oherwise to remain in Pull force add effect. FRANK H. DUNNAHOO Attest:- Attorney in fact; The Board ordered that H. N. Barnes, City Contractof ro repair work in the City be notified to repair and place the following extensions. Connect up extensions at Corner Mishawaka Avenue & Eddy Street. Mishawaka Avenue and Oakland Street,. Mishawaka Avenue and Thrush Street. Mishawaka Avenue and St. W. side Match Factory. Mishawaka Avenue and Greenlawn Ave. Repair extension at S . W. corner of North Lafayette Street & Madison St. at N. E. Corner of Wood Street and Madison Street. The Board also instructed Clerk to notify property owner of Oliver Theatre to repair sidewalk in front of same on Main Street. Mr. John Foots, Sr., appeared before the Board in regard to being unable be locate sewer tap at 624 North Main Street. The Board ordered that the Street Commissioner send men to look for tap at above number and if same is found the above property owner to reimburse the City for the cost of locating same, if no tap is found the Board ordered that the Street Cmmissioner have one put in. The Board ordered that the Street Commissioner be notified to fix un the north abutment of the Ernsperger Street Bridge immediately. Tile Board instructed the City Engineer to notify the following real estate men to aa�r'as 'appraisers on the valuation of property condemned on Oakland Street from Mishaiwaka Avenue to the St. Joseph River, under Condemnation Resolution No. -51. Horace M. Kauffman, Philip Bondurant and F. C. Raff.
