Collie Bolin vs. The City of South Bend.
On June lot., I addressed a letter to your Beard In regard to the claim of Mrs.
Bolin and advised an offer of $50.00 to settle this case.
In my letter of June lot., I made the 'statement that in my opinion there is no
liability. I intended to say that in my opinion the law of the case is with the City
and not with the claimant, hence there would be no legal liability. This is; however,
only an opinion and certain evidence might be introduced to change the law of the caser so
that it would be with the claimant instead of the City.
