Kennedy of the Ind Tana & Michigan <br />Electric Company, requesting thy, ,t the Board keep their orders far moving of �olea <br />and wires to a minimum, which the Board agreed to doat the present time. <br />Mr. Frederick J. Anderson, City Civil Engineer and Mr. D. C. Layton, <br />Street Commissioner were authorized to attend the Municipal League Convention to be <br />held at Washington , Ind ianarepresenting the City of South Bend, and they were also <br />ordered to keep an account of their expenses during the convention. and the Board to <br />reimburse them on the presentation of &UiniaddFstatement. i <br />Contract for water connections on B li ine Avenue from Lincoln Way <br />West to Portage Avenue awarded -to Wm. H. Burke <br />Engineer filed assessment roll and final estimate for asphaltic <br />concrete pavement on Blaine Avenue from La Porte Avenue'to Lincoln Way lest, under <br />Improvement Resolution No. 565 In the City of South Bind, Indiana. <br />`Resolved, that notices °as to the amounts of assessments as required by <br />law be pub 1 ished . f or six c onsec ut ive days in the South Band Daily Tribune a ommenc ing on the <br />8th , day of July 1918 stating that this Board will g ive a hearing on the amount of such <br />assessments sa,ts its office in the City hall on the 17th. Uy of July 1918 at 7:15 P.M. <br />Resolved further that the entire work under the above contract be <br />accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution <br />shall be published on the ,8th. , day of July 1918 in the South Bend Daily Tr ibuno, stating <br />that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its off ice in <br />the City Hall on -the 17th , day of July 1918 at 7: 15 P.M. <br />Mr. D. C. Layton,Street Commissioner appeared before the Board and took <br />up matter of purbhasing street car tickets for J-oseph Burke, Foreman on Street Dept., to <br />be used in his drily inspect ion .work for the Street Department. The Board ordered Mr. <br />Layton to purchase four books of street car tickets to ba used fd rinvestigation and <br />inspection of City Work. Mr. Layton was also instructed to got price for repair on <br />motorcycle owned*by the City and submit same to the Board' during the Month of July 1918. <br />The Board ordered that the contract for decorating the City Hall <br />as per bids "ce ived June 18th. ,1918 should be held up indefinitely. <br />Chas. E.-Starr City Electrician was instructed to purchase the necessary <br />electr is ial wiring .and fixtures to be put in the detective office in the City Hall <br />Artnex. <br />
