89 v The Board 'instructedperk to notify Typewriter concerns to submit bids for typewriters for the Controllers office and Mayors off ice at 9. 00 A.M. Wednesday January 16th.,1918, at the office of the Board. Chief of Police Kline appeared before the Board and requested that .drinking fountains and gash bowls be placed in the cell rooms in the Police station. The Board after Invest igat ing same ordered that the plumber be notified to install the necessary plumbing �'or same. ,-Also that the South Bend Spring Wags Company be notified to made necessary repairs on the cills. By unanimous consent of the Board Edward Moritz River Park was reappointed to the position of Caretaker- of River Park gas lighter. By unanimous consent E. N. Kaser -yeas rreappo sited -to the _position of clerk in the Building Department. Communitat ion received ...from Sam. W. Pickering Manager of the Oliver Theatre in regard to way removing of snow was handling by the''Street department from in front of theatre. Same read and placed on file. The Board ordered that the telephones be changed from the former Mayor and Chief of Police residences to the present Mayor and Chief of Police residence according to ordinance. - Minutes of the Board session held Tuesday January 8th.,1918 and Wednesday January 9th., 1918 were read and approved with the following correction.
