Tuesday October 16th.,1917. Cont Board adjourned at 11:20 A.M. to make trip of inspection on pavement improvement on Eddy Street and Mishawaka, Avenue. The following Communication was _received read and placed on file. October 10,1917. .Board of Rub°lic Works, South Bend, Ind., Gentlemen: - In regerence to the suit in the:Circuit Court of Sa,ndersEgbert Co., vs. City, in the action for condemnation of land for opening of Union Street, I call .your attention to the fact that the amount due this Company only bears interest at 4% per a.nnum instead of 6% as previously advised. Engineer filed assessment roll and final estimate for pipe sle*er on ,ffoward Street from St. Louis Blvd. to Notre Dame Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 542. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. + Resolved, hha.t noticesas to the amounts of assessments be published fen the1f)th. day of October 1917 and on the 25th. day of October 1917 in the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assess- ments at its office in the City Hallon the 30th. day of October 1917 at 7:45 P.M. Resolved further, that the entire wor?z under the above'contract be accepted and approved and the final estivate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 18th. d-gy of October 1917 and on the 25th. day of October 1917 in the South Bend Daily Tribune, staving that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the 30th. day of October 1917 at 7:45 P.U.
