Jefferson Boulevard, Suite 1400 S. <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Ivy Tech Community College <br />Melissa Denton <br />Workforce Development Consultant <br />220 Dean Johnson Blvd. <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />STATEMENT OF WORK <br />r-1 <br />rlease cnecK un@: LJ Uunswung IZSI instruction LJ Omer <br />Project Description/Cost: # 016519: B4 - The City of South Bend — HVAC w/Electrical - Spring 2019 <br />Ivy Tech Community College will deliver 96 hours of training in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning <br />(HVAC) with emphasis on the use of related electrical equipment, troubleshooting, installation of hardware, <br />metering equipment, lights, switches, and safety procedures and practices. <br />The HVAC w/Electrical program will introduce participants to compression systems used in mechanical <br />refrigeration including the refrigeration cycle and system components. The program will introduce safety <br />procedures, proper use of tools used to install and service refrigeration equipment, refrigerant charging and <br />recovery, system evacuation, calculating superheat and subcooling and using a refrigerant <br />temperature/pressure chart. This program will use lecture, lab and online simulation to prepare participants for <br />the Esco EPA 608 Reclamation Certification examination. (Ivy Tech does not guarantee that participants will <br />pass the EPA 608 Reclamation Certification Exam.) <br />The HVAC w/Electrical program will be delivered at Ivy Tech Community College, 220 Dean Johnson Blvd., <br />South Bend, IN 46601. The program will be scheduled on day(s) and time(s) convenient to participating <br />organizations and Ivy Tech Community College. Ivy Tech Community College will provide all instruction, <br />learning material, and one (1) certification exam attempt per participant. <br />The City of South Bend, Indiana Board of Public Work's investment for 96 contact hours of training for a <br />minimum of 10 participants in the HVAC w/Electrical Program at Ivy Tech Community College (South Bend <br />Campus) = $21,000. Each participant over the 10 minimum participants will be an additional $2,100 per <br />participant.
