Envr nretaiaI Glass Inc.
Discipline policies and procedures
Safety and health on the job site and in the office is very important. Here at E.G.I. we
operate with a goal or no damage to people, product and property. All of our employees,
including all levels of management, are held accountable for obeying site safety and health rules.
All jobs and tasks must be performed in a safe manner. To ensure heath, safety and quality, we
practice equal discipline for all employees. This is important to ensure hazard prevention and
control. The following five step disciplinary policy will be applied, depending on the issue, to
everyone by the appropriate level of supervisor:
a oral warning;
a written reprimand;
three days away from work;
Formal meeting discussing possible dismissal.
a Dismissal
An example of why an employee would have to be disciplined would be any 'unsafe'
behavior, such as not following regulation in a hazardous situation. It is also important that an
adequate crew is allotted to meat time and production quotas in order to ensure a safe project.
Proper training will also be implemented to reduce the need for discipline actions. All
employees have certain responsibilities regarding health and safety which if not exercised
adequately will result in disciplinary action.
