Elevated ""fork Platforms <br />These rules apply to all erected work platforms. <br />- Structures shall be inspected each day by the user <br />Defects must be corrected before using <br />Each part of the platform shall have the capability of supporting at <br />least 4 times its intended load. <br />Footings must be sound and rigid. Concrete blocks bricks barrels or <br />similar items should not be used as footings <br />Guardrails, mid -rails and toe boards shall be installed on all open <br />sides of platforms <br />- All planking shall be scaffold grade <br />- All planking shall be overlapped and secured <br />- Employees shall not work on slippery elevated platforms <br />- Ladders or safe means of access or egress shall be provided <br />- All scaffolding three sections or higher shall be tied off to a solid <br />support <br />- All bracing, coupling or stacking pins and vertical locking pins should <br />be supply and used in accordance with the manufacturer <br />- Rolling scaffolds shall have wheels lock and choked when in use and <br />shall have proper outriggers installed <br />- No scaffold shall be moved until all equipment is removed and it has <br />no people on it <br />The following is a pre task check list for elevated work areas <br />
