<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Dorau, seconded by Ms. Fritzberg and carried, the above bids were
<br />referred to Venues, Parks, and Arts and Engineering for review and recommendation.
<br />AWARD BID — MCKINLEY AVENUE AND FREMONT PARK IMPROVEMENTS —
<br />PROJECT NO. 118-072 (LRSA/UTILITY EXPENSE CONTRACTUAL/VPA)
<br />Ms. Alicia Czarnecki, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 11, 2018, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Czarnecki
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible
<br />bidders:
<br />a) Rieth-Riley Construction Co., Inc., 25200 State Road 23, South Bend, IN
<br />46614
<br />(1) Amount: $92,017; Division A
<br />b) Walsh & Kelly, Inc., 24358 State Road 23, South Bend, IN 46601
<br />(1) Amount: $244,540; Division B and Alternate B1, B2 and B3
<br />Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be
<br />awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
<br />MASONRY IMPROVEMENTS — PROJECT NO 118-08_(SEWAGE WORKS
<br />OPERATIONS/BUILDING REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE)
<br />Mr. Jacob Klosinski, Utilities, advised the Board that on December 11, 2018, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Klosinski
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Ziolkowski Construction, Inc., 4050 Ralph Jones Drive, South Bend, IN 46628 in the amount of
<br />$463,380 for the Base Division A, Base Division B, Alternates Al, A3, A4, A5 and B1.
<br />Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be
<br />awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion, which carried.

<br />Ms. Sue Ellen Doudrick, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 11, 2018, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Doudrick
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible
<br />bidders:
<br />a) Indiana Earth, Inc., 10343 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561
<br />(1) Amount: $168,472; Divisions A and C
<br />b) Ritschard Bros., Inc., 1204 W. Sample St., South Bend, IN 46619
<br />(1) Amount: $51,423.50; Division B
<br />Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be
<br />awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion, which carried.
