Kestler for excavating in the City Streets was approved by the Board. <br />Communication received from Chief of Police U. F. Kerr in regard to a defective <br />cell lock. The Board ordered that D. Oliver, Trustee, and Sanders -Egbert Company vs City of South Bend, in <br />reference to the opening of Union Street The court has fixed October 12th., as the time <br />of hearing said mot ions. <br />Die amount of money required of the City to settle the Oliver case of $2,000.00 <br />with interest at 6% per annum from July lot., 1912. <br />The amount it the Sanders-Egbert Co. case is $500.00 with interest at 6% from <br />July lot., 1912. And the city must pay the court costs in both cases. <br />This will give the City the right to use for street purposes the land condemned. <br />Yours very truly, <br />E. F. The <br />railroad people are just now ready to run their track. There are poles for electric <br />wires that are in the way and will have to be moved.
