This shall be a eonstruetion bomd, and the sureties on the,same shall not be <br />responsible for the maintenance and repair for the improvement after it has been <br />accepted by the second party, but `such sureties shall be held responsible for the faithful <br />compliance with all other conditions stipulations and requirements coverwd by or set out, <br />in the contract. <br />WITNESS our hands and seals this 8th. day of Sept .,1917. <br />WM. RICE <br />BOARD QF PUBLIC WORKS.. <br />Concerning the Improvement on the roadwpry of Niles Avenue from Howard Street to <br />Leeper Avenue'in pursuance to resolution No. 551.°the Board finds that no petition has been <br />filed with said Board by a majority in number of the freeholders residing on said street <br />to be improved request.ng that it be improved with a different kind of pavement than the <br />kind heretofore adopted by the Board in its preliminary order; Rnd the City Engineer <br />reports that theWilliston Construction Company is the lowest and best bidder for the kind <br />of pavement heretofore adopted by the Board and the Board find that said Williston Con- <br />struction Company is the lowest and best bidder abd hereby lets the contract for said <br />improvement to him, and all proceedings heretofore had in this matter are hereby confirmed <br />and ratified. <br />E.
