Same read and <br />placed on file. <br />Permission granted to the Central Union Telephone Company to set <br />five poles in the alley between Corby -Street and Howard Streets and St. Peter Street <br />and the alley east of Notre Dame Street, some to be set on north side of alley and <br />remove one cif your company poles nw on south side of alley. <br />The-.,f-ollowing communication received from the City Engineer, read and Alaced on file. <br />July 3,1917• <br />TO TIF, HONORABLE -BOARD OF PUBLIC -WORKS, <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />Dear Sirs• - <br />-At-the direction of your Board I have had prepared three resolutions for <br />the paving of ' Eddy St. and Mishiawaka Ave. One resolution provides for the paving of <br />Eddy St, from Jefferson Blvd. to the south line of Mishawaka Ave., another provides <br />for the paving of Mishawaka Avenue from the east line of Eddy St. to the east line of <br />Fifth Street and the third for the paving of Mishawaka Ave. from the east line of <br />Fifth Street to the center of Nineteenth Street. These ° resolu.t ions have already been <br />published. <br />The property fronting on the east section of this work is appraised for <br />taxation at $249260.00. The pavement on this section exclusive of the street and <br />alley intersections and the street car track will cost the property owners approximately <br />036,000 .00 This will make it necessary to secure a petition from eighty per cent of <br />the freeholders on this section of the street before the improvement man be made. <br />I also wish to call your attention to the water connections on the Street <br />I do not think that these have been taken care. of yet. <br />Yours very truly. <br />FREDERICK J.
