<br />✓ Mr. A. D. McKnight, Agent for the Grind Trunk Western Ry. Company
<br />appeared before the Board, and the matter of the,,planking of Division Street across
<br />streets :crossing their right of ways was discussed, and Mr. McKnight presented com-
<br />municatiox regarding the sane from E. J. Erkhe from Battle Creek, Mich, Supt. asking
<br />that on aocouat of high cost aft scarcity of material, and the scarity of common
<br />laborers that this work be allowed to be deferred for one year, and stating that at
<br />the time temporary work was put in, a large number of ties, new rails, angle bars and new
<br />planking were put in, and .that the street is now in first class condition anal ;will
<br />last one, gear without any repairs. The Board requested Mr. McKnight to be present
<br />at the Committee of the Whole meeting at 7:30 this 22nd. play of.May and present said
<br />letter at 'that time.
<br />Capt. Hepler of Co. F. and representing G.A.R appeared before the
<br />C-- Board in regard to the safety of the band stand at the City Cemetery, which is to be
<br />used Decoration Darr. The Cemetery Sextion Mr. Goo. M. Urey, reported to that Boardthat
<br />said stand had been repaired. The Board instructed C. A. Perkins, Building Come
<br />to inspect said stared and report as to the safety of same at regular session at 7:45
<br />P.M. this 22nd. day of May 1917,
