J Jr Board met in regular session' at 7:45 P.M. Mr. E. M. Morris, absent. Mr. A. H. Rice acting, president. Communication presented by Councilman Sevar Thompson in regard to the Chicago, Lake Shore & South Bend Railway Company filling in between their tracks on Orange Street between College Street and Jackson Street. The Board instructed the Clerk to notify Mr. E. Lewis Meyers, attorney for the Chicago, Lake Shore & South Bend Railway Company to take care of this complaint. Property owners appeared before the Board from Queen Street in regard to a petition filed for sewer, on said street. The Board explained the engineer's report on said sewer as shown on page of this record. Property owners residing on Division Street from Olive Street to Kentucky Street appeared before the Board in regard to petition,filed for sewer and water on said street, No action taken.. The fdllowing preliminary orders were vpproved by the Board. Concerning' the Improvement of the roadway of Culvert Street from Uiami Street to High Street with asphalt, asphaltic concrete, Bitulithic, or brick in pursuance to resolution No. 489, this bung the day set for the preliminary award designating the kind` of pavement, the Board at 10:00 A.M. this 17th. day of April publicly opened, read and considered all bids, And thereupon the Board designed Asphaltic concrete as the kind pf pavement with which said street is to be improved and fixes the -28th. day of April 1917 at 10:00 A.M. as the time when petitions for changing the kind of fipavement must be filed, and the Board he continues this matter until the 1st* day of May 1917. at 10:00 A.M. and all bids are hereby referred to the City Civil Engineer for tabu- lation and report as to the lowest and best bid. Concerning the improvement of the roadway of Franklin Street from Indiana Avenue to Calvert Street with asphalt, asphaltic concrete, BYtlithie, or brick in pursuance to resolution No. 488 this being the day set for preliminary award desi- gnating the kind of pavement, the Board at 10:00 A.M. this 17th. day of April 1917 publicly opened, read and considered all bids. And thereupon the Board designed Asphaltic concrete as the kind of pavement with which said street is to be improved and fixes the 28th. day of April' 1917 at 10:00 A.K. as the time when petitios for changing the kind of pavement must be filed, and the Board hereby continues this matter ult it the let. day of May 1917 at 10:00 A.K. and all bids are hereby referred to the City Civil Engineer for tabu- lation and report as to the lowest and best bid.
