J <br />Jr <br />Board met in regular session' at 7:45 P.M. Mr. E. M. Morris, absent. <br />Mr. A. H. Rice acting, president. <br />Communication presented by Councilman Sevar Thompson in regard to the <br />Chicago, Lake Shore & South Bend Railway Company filling in between their tracks <br />on Orange Street between College Street and Jackson Street. The Board instructed <br />the Clerk to notify Mr. E. Lewis Meyers, attorney for the Chicago, Lake Shore & <br />South Bend Railway Company to take care of this complaint. <br />Property owners appeared before the Board from Queen Street in regard <br />to a petition filed for sewer, on said street. The Board explained the engineer's <br />report on said sewer as shown on page of this record. <br />Property owners residing on Division Street from Olive Street to <br />Kentucky Street appeared before the Board in regard to petition,filed for sewer <br />and water on said street, No action taken.. <br />The fdllowing preliminary orders were vpproved by the Board. <br />Concerning' the Improvement of the roadway of Culvert Street from <br />Uiami Street to High Street with asphalt, asphaltic concrete, Bitulithic, or brick <br />in pursuance to resolution No. 489, this bung the day set for the preliminary award <br />designating the kind` of pavement, the Board at 10:00 A.M. this 17th. day of April <br />publicly opened, read and considered all bids, <br />And thereupon the Board designed Asphaltic concrete as the kind pf <br />pavement with which said street is to be improved and fixes the -28th. day of April <br />1917 at 10:00 A.M. as the time when petitions for changing the kind of fipavement must <br />be filed, and the Board he continues this matter until the 1st* day of May 1917. <br />at 10:00 A.M. and all bids are hereby referred to the City Civil Engineer for tabu- <br />lation and report as to the lowest and best bid. On the day above names the Board <br />will either pass on petit ions 17et said contract, or reject all bids. <br />A. H.
