DRUG FREE WORKPLACE 11O ,1(`Y <br />PURPOSE: <br />Mason Engineering and Construction, Inc. is committed to providing a safe and productive work environment. <br />We expect our employees to report to work each day fit to perform their jobs. In order to meet these objectives, <br />as well as our obligations under applicable federal and state laws„ we, must take a. firm and positive stand against <br />substanc;c abuse, This policy is intended to ensure a drug, -free work environment for (lrc benefit of our employees. <br />and customers. This policy supplements our Substance Abuse l'olicy and is necessary due to our goverriment <br />contracts. <br />POLICY STATEMENT: <br />The unlawful manufacturing, distribution, dispensation, possession, or use of a controlled substance while on <br />Mason Engineering and Construction, Inc. premises or in the performance of services for Mason Engineering <br />and Construction, Inc. is strictly prohibited. <br />As a condition of continuing employment with Mason Engineering and Construction, Inc. each employee must: <br />1.) Abide by the terms of this policy; and <br />2.) Notify Mason Engineering and Construction, Inc, of any criminal drug state conviction for a <br />violation occurring in Mason Engineering and Construction, Inc.'s workplace no later than five <br />days after such conviction. <br />Any violation of this policy will result in discipline, up to and including discharge depending on the <br />individual case and severity of the infraction involved. <br />Drug -Free Awareness Program <br />To assist in ensuring compliance with Mason Engineering and Construction, Inc. Drug -Free Workplace <br />Policy, we have established a Drug -Free Awareness Program to inform our employees about: <br />1.) The dangers of drug abuse in the workplace. <br />2.) Mason Engineering and Construction Inc.'s policy of maintaining a drug -free workplace. <br />3.) Employee assistance programs that may be offered for drug counseling and rehabilitation <br />through major medical policies currently carried by the individual employee. (Programs will <br />differ depending on your carrier.) <br />4.) The penalties that may be imposed upon employees for drug abuse violations. <br />Participation in our Drug -Free Awareness Program by all employees is mandatory. <br />RESERVACTION OF RIGHTS <br />Mason Engineering and Construction, Inc. reserves the right to interpret, modify, or expand upon this policy in <br />whole or part, with or without notice. Nothing in this polity alters an employee's at -will status. <br />ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND CONSENT <br />I hereby acknowledge having received a copy of Mason Engineering and Construction's Inc.
