AGENDA RE IEW SESSION DECEMBEI 6, 2018 378 <br />Ms. Becca Plantz, Engineering, stated this permit is for access to city property for soil borings <br />for a proposed electric transmission line route. Mr. Gilot asked if they are choosing a path <br />without trees. Ms. Plantz confirmed there are no trees in the location, just green space. Attorney <br />McDaniels asked if I & M provided the permit. Ms. Plantz stated they did. Attorney McDaniels <br />stated it would need to be reviewed by legal. <br />- Opening of Quotations — South Bend Civic Theater Alleyway Repaving <br />Ms. Maradik questioned if this includes bollards and if so, who is installing and removing them. <br />She noted the City doesn't usually approve bollards and only the city can close public right-of- <br />way. Ms. Brach confirmed they are part of this repaving but she was not aware of who was <br />responsible for closure. The Board noted they have denied them previously with the exception of <br />Eddy Commons where there is an agreement with the management on closure and at the Morris <br />Performing Arts, a city -owned entity. It was noted the Morris is still required to get Board <br />approval to close the street. <br />- Change Order — J.C. Lauber Site Improvements <br />Mr. Kyle Silveus, Engineering, stated Change Order No. 1 is due to the decision to use concrete <br />instead of asphalt. He noted they received a good price for better material. He stated Change <br />Order No. 2 is for the addition of drywells to help with water drainage in problem areas. <br />- Change Order — Lincoln Way East Corridor Improvements <br />Mr. Silveus stated this Change Order is due to the discovery of guardrails puncturing a storm line <br />along Lincoln Way. Mr. Gilot asked how deep the storm sewer was. Mr. Silveus stated it was not <br />very deep, just a couple of feet. <br />- Change Order - Erskine Clubhouse Renovation <br />Mr. Silveus stated this increase was due to unforeseen conditions. He explained they had to do <br />repairs and replace the gutter on the south side when they removed it and found damage <br />underneath. <br />No other business came before the Board. Gilot, with Board Members Elizabeth Maradik, <br />and Therese Dorau present. Board Members Suzanna Fritzberg, and James Mueller were absent. <br />Also present was Board Attorney Clara McDaniels. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MF,TING <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the Minutes of the <br />Agenda Review Session, Regular Meeting and Claims Meeting of the Board held on November <br />21, November 27 and December 4, 2018, were approved. <br />
