(ITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />064 RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br />��|���������������������������������� ������������ <br />������������������������������0����N�N�m������N���� <br />Uwnso provided limited plan review, construction manaQement, and inspection services for this locally funded project. <br />Coordination with nnu|dp|e entities including Avon, Hendricks County Highvvay, Avon Schools, West Central Conservancy <br />District, and CSX Railway was necessary throughout the entire construction process. <br />I he project features the roillowing items: <br />* Two-lane bridge over CSXRailway <br />* Roundabout configuration atthe intersection ofAvon Avenue and CR255 <br />* Three -fourths ofamile ofnew concrete pavement <br />* 10-foot-wide bituminous paved walking trail <br />* Sidewalks and ADA-accessib|e ramps <br />* 879 feet of MSE retaining wall <br />* New turn lane and signal modifications at US 36 <br />Improvements were also made atthe US 36/RockviUe Road intersection to provide hQht-tunn-on|ylane for northbound <br />traffic. 3tormvvoterdrainege improvements included the installation of two new box cu|varts, placement ofmultiple storm <br />structures, new storm sewer, and underdrains. <br />a rtistic painting of the Avon Oriole, and color <br />tinted anti -graffiti coating over the various bridge <br />|naddition tmconstructing the roadway and bridge, <br />multiple utilities were relocated as part of the <br />project. Major utility components were relocated <br />during the fall and winter of 2016-17. while water <br />services, a force ma|n, and a gravity sewer line were <br />relocated as part ofthe Avon Avenue construction <br />contmct. <br />The bridge, roundabout, and mainline pavement <br />were constructed and open to traffic injust under <br />eight mmnths, thanks to an acceleration initiative <br />implemented bythe Town. Other project challenges <br />included constructing the south end of the project <br />under tm0ic, and maintaining access to residents, <br />multiple businesses. and Avon Schools during <br />construction throughout the project limits. Portions <br />of the projects were coordinated with Avon Schools <br />to be constructed during spring, summer, and fall <br />breaks as to not disrupt bus schedules o/ after - <br />school activities. <br />Services Provided: Construction Inspection, <br />Construction Management, ConstructabUity <br />Review, Bridge Plan Review, Utility CoordinaMnn, <br />Water/Wastewater Design, Value Engineering, <br />Maintenance ofTraffic Plan <br />Letter of Interest to Provide Construction Inspection Services I Reconstruction of Bendix Drive 12 <br />
