CLEVELAND ROAD RECONSTRUCTION <br />ST. JOS PH COUNTY <br />Lochmueller provided design and ROW acquisition services and <br />is currently providing construction inspection services for the <br />roadway reconstruction of the 4-lane section from Riverside Drivi <br />to SR 933. <br />PROJECT ELEMENTS <br />This project consists of a total reconstruction of 5,500 feet of <br />roadway and includes: <br />» New concrete pavement with curb -and -gutter section <br />(two 12-foot-wide lanes in each direction) <br />» Horizontal & vertical alignment corrections <br />» Replacement of the concrete center curb & median barrier <br />» Modification of the traffic signal to account for new detectio <br />loops <br />» New multi -use path & a pedestrian -activated signal <br />» New storm sewers & inlets <br />» Utility relocations <br />» Block retaining wall <br />» Pavement marking & signing <br />» New roadway & bridge lighting <br />» Rehabilitation of two bridges (over St. Joseph River & Juday <br />Creek) <br />I <br />2-WAY STREET °T SOUTH CONVERSION <br />I <br />hmueller provided construction inspection services for the one- <br />to two-way conversion of Main and Michigan/St. Joseph <br />?ets, from Angela Boulevard to Chippewa Avenue- reestablishing <br />act access to downtown and Memorial Hospital. <br />IE FAST-PACEDPROJECT INCLUDED: <br />Project length: 4 miles <br />Asphalt paving <br />Three new roundabouts at Michigan & Bartlett, Michigan & <br />Marion, & Michigan & Chippewa equipped with pedestrian - <br />friendly crossways & flashing lights to alert cars to stop <br />28 traffic signal upgrades <br />Installation of 120 street lights <br />Drainage improvements including new structures & pipe <br />installation <br />New concrete curbs & sidewalks from Western Avenue to <br />Bartlett Street <br />Bike lanes the entire length of the corridor <br />Landscaping including trees <br />
