Responsibility of the Medical Review Officer (MRO) <br />The MRO shall be a physician designated by IPR. <br />The MRO must review all tests for which there is a laboratory report other than negative and <br />shall be the final decision maker as to whether a test result is positive. In addition, the MRO <br />must review 10% of all negative tests. The MRO is responsible for reporting findings to the <br />appropriate management or Human Resources contact within 24 hours of making the final <br />determination as to the test result. <br />The MRO shall be available to all persons subject to testing to provide technical information <br />regarding prescription and nonprescription medication. The MRO shall have a duty of <br />confidentiality and shall not disclose to IPR any information obtained about an employee that <br />is not relevant to the enforcement of this Policy. <br />B. Consultation with Human Resources <br />There shall be no discipline or termination of employment resulting from a violation of this <br />policy without the advance approval of IPR's VP of of Human Resources. <br />SAFETYIS EVERYONE S BUSINESS <br />2187209 1 <br />
