PostAcricigntlIncident Testln <br />After a serious, work -related accident or incident, the Safety Manager will ordinarily refer the <br />employees involved for an alcohol and drug test, regardless of any suspicion of alcohol or <br />drug use. For example, post-accident/incident testing should be conducted as soon as <br />practicable following: <br />i. Any personal injury in a IPR workplace or jobsite resulting in a death or immediate <br />hospitalization or immediate referral to a physician; <br />ii. Any casualty loss or damage of IPR property with an estimated value of at least $500; <br />iii. Any environmental release that results in a report to a government agency; <br />iv. Any accident or incident that is reasonably suspected to be the result of a violation of IPR <br />safety standards and practices and results in personal injury or property damage; <br />v. Any accident or incident that results from a violation of a IPR work rule or disciplinary rule <br />and results in personal injury or property damage. <br />If, in addition to the accident/incident, there is also a reasonable suspicion of that the <br />employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the employee should ordinarily be <br />provided transportation to the testing facility and should not be permitted to drive. <br />Note: It is a condition of employment for an employee to refrain from reporting to work <br />or working with the presence of drugs or alcohol in his or her body. Any injured <br />employee who refuses to submit to a test for drugs or alcohol in accordance <br />with this Policy is grounds for immediate termination and may forfeit eligibility <br />for workers' compensation medical and indemnity benefits under the law of the <br />state in which they work. <br />F. Random <br />A percentage of the total IPR employee population will be subject to random drug and alcohol <br />abuse testing; provided, however, random testing will be not be utilized in any jurisdiction or <br />location where it is prohibited such as the State of California once a supervisor is notified that <br />an employee has been selected for random testing, the supervisor shall notify the employee <br />within 24 hours. Once the employee is notified they have been selected for random testing, <br />that employee must report to the IPR-designated testing site within 4 hours. <br />Note: Employees refusing to submit to a random test or fail to meet the 4 hour <br />requirement shall be viewed as non -compliant with this policy and will be <br />terminated. <br />SAFETYIS EVERYONES BUSINESS <br />2187209A <br />
