General Requirements <br />IPR strives to maintain a safe work environment conducive to effective business administration <br />and operations. The presence of drugs and alcohol in the workplace and the influence of these <br />substances on employees during working hours are inconsistent with effective business <br />operations and may be unlawful. <br />The unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession, or use of drugs or <br />controlled substances while on IPR property or while executing IPR job functions in violation <br />of this policy is prohibited. Employees may not be under the influence of illegal drugs or <br />abuse alcohol while on IPR property or performing services for IPR. <br />Discipline <br />Employees who violate this Policy will be subject to discipline, up to and including discharge. <br />Employees who are under the influence of drugs or abuse alcohol on IPR premises or while <br />performing IPR job functions may be disciplined, Employees who plead guilty to or are <br />convicted of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs in the course of IPR job <br />duties will be subject to discharge. <br />B. Searches <br />IPR reserves the right to conduct reasonable searches of employees' lockers, desks, work <br />areas, computer(s), vehicles, purses, bags, containers, or personal effects. An employee who <br />refuses to submit immediately to such a search will be subject to discipline, up to and <br />including discharge. <br />r <br />Employees are prohibited from bringing drug paraphernalia onto IPR property or worksite on <br />IPR business. Employees who possess or distribute drug paraphernalia while on IPR <br />property or on IPR business will be subject to discipline, up to and including discharge. <br />D.
