REGULAR MEETING APRIL 24, 2012 141 <br />by Mr. Inks and carried, the above Quotations were referred to Code Enforcement and <br />Engineering for review and recommendation. After reviewing those quotations, Mr. Toy Villa, <br />Engineering recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and <br />responsible bidder, Michiana Contracting, Inc., in the amount of $6,490.00. Therefore, Mr. Gilot <br />made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded subject to <br />financing. Mr. Inks seconded the motion, which carried. <br />OPENING AND AWARD OF QUOTATIONS — APPROVE CONTRACT — CURB MACHINE <br />SERVICES FOR 2012 PROJECT NO. 112 -024 <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations for <br />the above referenced project. Mr. Gilot noted that is being <br />reviewed by Cheryl Greene, Legal, due to a previous submittal with a bid. He stated that Ms. <br />Greene informed the Board that effective July 1, 2012, the wording of the form would change <br />based on a new law that the company submitting the form must be an Indiana based company. <br />He noted in this instance it was irrelevant because Selge was the lowest bidder regardless of the <br />Local Preference form. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the <br />above Quotations were referred to Engineering and Sewers for review and recommendation. <br />After reviewing those quotations, Mr. Toy Villa, Engineering recommended that the Board <br />award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Selge Construction Co., Inc., <br />in the amount of $49,800.00.
