Ford co-chaired the first student Congress for New Urbanism at Notre Dame and <br /> also worked on a design team to address the redevelopment of the Ninth Ward in post- <br /> Hurricane Katrina New Orleans. <br /> As director,Ford will oversee a staff of 26 people who work on city planning,business <br /> assistance,redevelopment and remediation,property issues,and neighborhood and <br /> community relations. <br /> Since January, Mayor Buttigieg has led a complete review of the department in order to <br /> realign priorities around economic development in the area.
