Without <br /> that data,we cannot be a great customer service organization. With it, <br /> we can and will make better management decisions and provide <br /> outstanding services to all our citizens and organizations. <br /> • We are revamping the city's website, and later this year will deliver a <br /> new and improved look with a more user-friendly ftmctionality and <br /> easy-to-find information. <br /> • The overarching vision is for technology to make it easier for citizens <br /> to solve problems and easier for government to make good decisions. <br /> E. Reflection on diversity and unity <br /> • Before closing, I'd like to take a moment to reflect on the questions of leadership, <br /> diversity and unity in our community. <br /> • Not long ago, I faced an unpleasant choice, and the need, among unattractive <br /> alternatives, to discern the least bad option. I made the choice I felt was best for <br /> the city. I knew it would be difficult, that it would potentially be unpopular, and <br /> likely misunderstood. And because there were and still are serious <br /> confidentiality issues limiting what I could say about the matter, I knew that I <br /> would have to bite my tongue while opening the door to the potential for <br /> confusion and rumor. <br /> • But it was clear, given the circumstances, what was the right thing to do. <br /> • This situation illustrates what is perhaps the most important difference between <br /> being a candidate for office and being a bearer of executive responsibility.
