REGULAR MEETING 3. Indiana Local Business Preference Claim M MARCH 27 2012 104 Base Bid $31255,156.00 Alternate 1 $586,000.00 Alternate 2 $915,625.00 Total Base Bid Plus Alternate 1 $3,841,156.00 Total Base Bid Plus Alternate 2 $4,170,781.00 Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above bids were referred to Engineering for review and recommendation. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Patrick Henthom, Engineering, recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder Selge Construction Co., Inc., 2833 South 10' Street, Niles, Michigan 49120, in the amount of $2,895,417.66, which is the Base Bid plus Alternate 1. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded and the Construction Contract approved as outlined above. Mr. GiIot seconded the motion, which carried. OPENING AND AWARD OF QUOTATIONS — APPROVE CONTRACT — SEWER SERVICE AT 3680 WEST SAMPLE STREET - PROJECT NO. 112 -011 INDUSTRIAL REVOLVING FUND Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations for the above referenced project.
