Task 3: Final Engineering Documents <br />Final Fn ineering Plans will be prepared at a scale of approximately 1"=30'. The plan will show cursory <br />grading information, utilities, storm sewer, and surface and subsurface (tile) drainage information. <br />Specifications including special provisions will be prepared for the scope of work outlined in the final <br />engineering plans. <br />Bidding, Assistance will include compilation of plans, specifications and contract documents (provided by <br />the City). We will address bidding BFI's and attend the bid opening, if requested. We will tabulate the <br />bids and check them for accuracy. CADD drawings of the final plans will be provided the contracted <br />bidder and the City of South Bend. <br />LtALOPinlon of Probable ConstructlorI Cost will be prepared based upon the information contained in the <br />preliminary design documents. <br />Task 4: Construction Support Services <br />Pre -Construction Meeting. WBK will participate in the pre -construction meeting. <br />Construction Observation WBK will make two visits to the project sites. <br />Contractor Reguests for Information and submittals will be responded to in a timely manner and <br />answered to provide clear and direct information to the contactor as to the design intent, to clarify any <br />discrepancies between the plan and specifications and to clarify information regarding quantities of <br />materials or services. <br />The project contractor shall be solely responsible for preparing their own quantity take -offs for the <br />project based upon the means and methods they choose for construction. WBK cannot specify the <br />means or methods of construction. <br />Exclusions to Scope and Pricing <br />In the event that multiple contracts requiring multiple sets of construction documents are bid, the <br />scope items will change and a proposal for additional services provided for preparation of more than <br />one complete set of construction documents. <br />This scope includes no professional land survey. Elevations will be measured and slopes will be <br />calculated using survey grade GPS equipment. <br />
