EXCAVATING, INC <br />MISHAWAKA CONCRETE/ASPHALT RECYCLE, INC. <br />2010 WENT AVE. <br />MISHAWAKA, INDIANA 46545 <br />219-259-0076 - OFFICE <br />219-259-8091 - TRAILER <br />DRUG 40 ALCWOL TEGTING POLICY <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The following Policy lips been developed in order to comply with <br />the new mandates set forth by the Department of Transportation <br />reaardinq drug and alcohol testinu. Beginninq January 1. 1995 all <br />companies emplovinq•50 or. fewer commercial motor vehicle drivers <br />(vehicles more than 26.0DO lbs GVV1I11) are to begin alcohol testing <br />in addition to the already required druq testinq. Companies with <br />50 or more employees were required to begin on January 1. 1995. <br />Gmployee's havinq questions reaardinq this Policy shall refer <br />their questions to the Iluman Resources Director (Julie Culo). <br />Statement of Philosophy <br />R & R Excavatinca. Inc.. has compiled the following druq and <br />alcohol abuse nolicv in order to comply with the Department of <br />Transoortation's rules set forth for motor carriers. It is <br />managements feeling that these rules are beneficial as they aim to <br />reduce accidents and inJuries that could result from driver's of <br />commercial vehicles being imoaired by the ill effects of drugs or <br />alcohol. We expect that .a11 covered employees will comply fully <br />with the policy. <br />This policy should not be interpreted in any way as an <br />employment contract. Emplovees should be aware that all employment <br />is at will. This at will relationship can be terminated at any <br />time by either the employee or the employer with or without reason. <br />scooe <br />Employees covered by this policy include all drivers of <br />commercial vehicles over 26.000 lbs. GVVIR as defined by the'. D.O.T. <br />AND ALL EMPLOYEES, REGARDLESS OF <br />THERE POSITION ARE IN A RANDOM POOL <br />This policy prohibits the Drpsence of alcohol and controlled <br />substances in the body while ooeratina a commercial vehicle, and <br />any safety sensitive positions or Ileavy Eauioment operators. <br />Controlled substances include amnhetamines, marijuana, cocaine, and <br />PCP. Testing for the L)resence of alcohol will begin January 1. <br />1�9G. �� <br />Prohibited Conduct <br />Alcohol <br />1 ) No driver or emolovee shall report for duty or remain on duty <br />to drive while havinq an alcohol concentration of 0.04 or <br />greater. <br />2) No driver or employee shall use alcohol during the 4 hours <br />before reportiiiq for duty to drive. <br />x <br />
