<br />f ollowing gas , and sewer and *water connect ions.

<br />RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS NO. 473.
<br />On motion duly made and seconded, the follo,ving pret:,mble and resolutions were
<br />unanimously ad opted:-
<br />�HI, S, This Board did on the Sth. day of August 1916 deem it expedient and
<br />of ;,ublic utility to permanently improve Euclid Avenue between La Porte Avenue and Walnut
<br />Street, by paving the roadway of the same, and did on said date pass and adopt a resolution
<br />a ut h or i;z ing said permanent imrr ov e me nt , and
<br />Whereas the City Engineer has prepared and fled with this Board a report
<br />,huffing the number and location, as well as the materidl to be used and the manner of laying
<br />the same, of the service pipes, mains, conduits , laterals and connections which are,
<br />or will be, necessary to accommodate the abutting property owners with gas, water, heat,
<br />steam or any other product for which any person, firm or corporation has been granted a
<br />frarchise for supplying the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana, which report is
<br />on file in the office of the Board.
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, That said report of said City Engineer be and is hereby adopted,
<br />And be it further Resolved, That it is contemplated by this Board to improve Euclid
<br />Avenue from La Porte Avenue to Walnut Street all in said City ,.of South Bend, by construction
<br />of pa vement , and that it is, and is hereby so declared, necessary for the Northern Indiana
<br />Gas and Electric Company, which has, and operates under a franchise from said City to
<br />supply gas to the citizens of said City, to provided and install mains, laterals, service
<br />pipes and connections for gas in said part of said street, of the description, location
<br />and number set forth in said re ort of said City Engineer, which mains, service pipes and
<br />connections are hereby declared necessary for the immediate use of said Company in supplying
<br />gas to the o�rners of property abutting upon said part of said street.
