Bryan amd Kennedy both assured <br />rne about two weeks ago that all of their work or, Michigan St. was taken care of. Since <br />that time they have discovered that some of their conduits crossing the sewer trench <br />needed repairs, and. they are working on these at present. They have their work taken <br />care of as far as Wayne Street and are now working between Wayne Street end Kefferson <br />Blvd. For the location and number o services see attachd blue print. <br />TH: ST. JOSEPH HEATT_NG CO. The mains and services of this company have <br />been installed as shown on the accompanying blue print. <br />THE NORTHERN INDIANA GAS AND ELECTRIC CO. This Company still has some <br />service connectins north of Wayne St. to repair, and are working on them steadily. The <br />accompanying blue print shows the services that have been put in and renf,ired. there there <br />are no services shown the; have no record but will file the location of them as shun as <br />they can be located. <br />WATER DEPARTMENT. Mr. Toyn.e has informed me that he has a number of manholes <br />yet to build around valves in the street. Mr. Burke will have all of the water taps <br />in by the end of next week. <br />There are still about ten -property owners who have not agreed to allww <br />the Traction company to attached their span wires to their buildings. Mr. Brandon <br />is going away and has turned the list over to Mr. Chard. I have arranged with the <br />contractor on the curb to lave out a section where ever there is a #ole. <br />TPEE WESTERN UNION AND GRAND TRUNK R . R . These two companies have wires <br />crossing Michigan St. at Division St. but to date have ignored the orders: of the Board <br />of .Public `forks to place them underground. If the Board intends to com-;,kl these companies <br />to go underground they should put 1 their conduits ahead of the paving. <br />TFE NO-'1HERN INDIANA RY. CO. This company operates overhead telephone <br />lines across Michigan St. and like the two companies mentioned above have made no move <br />to comply with the underground Ordinance. <br />In conclusion will state tht I have notified the variouscompantes that it <br />the desire of the Board that all of the unfinished work in the streets shall be completed <br />b,3fore the week of the lair, and that if this is not possible, that the trenches be filled <br />and no excavations made during that week. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Frederldk J.
