Mr. F. J. Anderson City Engineer reported as follows on deed referred to <br />him July 5th.,1916. <br />To th Honorable Board of Public Works <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />c,"" Dear Sirs: - <br />Thy above sketch shows the strip of ground in Weaver's Add, which <br />Mrs. Studebaker wishes to turn over to the City for alley purposes. The strip of <br />land is 4-j- feet wide, but does not extend the full length of the alley. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Frederick J. Anderson, <br />City Engineer.. <br />WARRANTY DEED. <br />THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH THAT I,ANN M. STUDEBAKER (widow and of full <br />age) of St. Joseph County, State of Indiana. <br />CONVEY ND WARRANT <br />to Municipal City of South Bend, of St Joseph Count in the State of Indiana <br />its successors and assigns for the sum of ONE -AND N0i 100) ($100.00)Dollars <br />the following real estate in St. Joseph County, in the State of India,na,to-wit: <br />That part of lots Numbered Four (4) , Five (5), Six (6) -and Seven <br />(7) as sown on the recorded Plat of Weaver's Sub -Division if Bank Out Lot <br />Numbered Forty-nine (49) and of a part of Bank Out Lot Numberedbpifty. (50) • of the <br />First Plat of Out Lots of the Town, now City of South Bend, platted by the State <br />Bank of Indiana, .hick part is bounded by a line running as follows: Beginning at <br />a point one -hundred eleven (111) feet.north of the South West Corner of said <br />Lot No. Seven (7); then(c running East one hundred five (105) feet to the East li <br />li ne off the West half O of said Lot No. Four -(4) thence North four and one <br />half (42) feet to the south line of the public alley twelve 012) feet width, <br />heretofore dedicated in the Pit of said Weaver's Sub -Division; thence West on <br />the south line of said public alley to a point where said alley turns to the South <br />West; thence South Westerly on said alley line to the East line of.another public <br />alley ten (10) feet wide; thence -South on the East lineof said last mentioned <br />illey a distance of six (6) inches to the place of beginning; to be used as and <br />for a public alley and for no other purpose and COVENANT for myself , my heirs <br />and personal representatives that I am lawfully seized of the premises have good <br />right to convey the same ajid guarantee the quiet possession theref$, that the <br />same are free fr& m all incumbrances and that I will Warrant and Defend the Title <br />to the same against all lawful claims. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said grantor above nnamed has hereunto set <br />her h nd and seal this 3rd. day of June A.
