<br />Resolved by the Board of. Public Works of the Ciy of South Bead, St. Joseph
<br />County, State of Indiaraa, That it is deemed necessary to improve East side of Miami Street
<br />from the north line of lot 192 in the south east addition to a paint 409 -1/2 feet north of
<br />the north line of lot 192 in the South East Addition as follows, t o—wit: —
<br />By a cost rusting
<br />a cement 4ewrlY 71-ve tS feet in width on the east_ side of Miami Street from the north
<br />line of 19t 192- South East Addition to a point 409-1/2 feet fibrth of, the north line of said
<br />lot 192. All as shown on the plans and in accordance ith the profiles, detail drawings
<br />and specifications on file in the Office of the Department of Public Works of the City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana, in accordance with the profile, details, drawings and specifications
<br />on file in the office of the Department of the Board of Public Works of said City; and such
<br />impo ov ement is now ordered.
<br />The cost of said improvement, including the cost, of street and alley inter—.
<br />sections, shall be assessed upon the real estate abutting on said east side of Miami
<br />Street all according to the -method and manner provided for in an Act of the General Assembly
<br />of the State of Indiana,, t„ entitled M An AcConcerning Municipal. Corrpprations, approved March
<br />6,19O5f and in accordance with and pursuant to the provisions of ail. -amendatory and sup—
<br />plemental acts theretov passed by the General Assembly. of the State of Indiana, Assessments,
<br />if defered,, are to be apdi in ten equal annual installments, with interest at the rate -of
<br />Six per cent perannum. A bond or bonds shall be issued to the contractorla pay ment of such
<br />wokic, unless the property owners pay said assessment before sadd bond or bonds are issued.
<br />Under no circumstances shall the City of South Bend be, or be held responsible for any sum
<br />sums, due from said propert owner r . rs for said work or for the collection oft e
<br />sane, or or the payment Taw bore, b s, certificate of certificates, issued to said
<br />contractor in payment for such wrk except for such mom ys as shall have been actually
<br />received by the City from the assessments, for such improvement, or, -such moneys as sai d
<br />City is by said above entitled Act required to pay. All proceedings had, and work done in
<br />the making of said improvement, assessment of property, collecetion of assessment s and
<br />issuance of bonds therefor, shall be as provided for in said above entitled Act and
<br />amendments the ret o.
<br />Notice of this resolution shall, be publisbe.d on the 23rd. ' day of June 1916
<br />and on the 30th. day of June 1,016 in the South Bend Daily Tribune. This Board., will give
<br />a hearing on this resolution in its office in the City Hall on the 18tii. day of July 1916
<br />at 7:45 P.M.
