May: <br />Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present. <br />Bids were received openf:d a.nd read for Pavement on Indiana Avenue from Prairie <br />Avenue to Kemble Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 421. Sams referred to <br />the City Engineer for tabulation to be reported back at 7:45 P.M. <br />Bids were received, opened and read for pipe sewer on Indiana Avenue from <br />Kemble Avenue to Prairie Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 420. Referred to <br />to the City Civil Engineer for tabulation to be reported back at 7:45 P.M. <br />Mr. W. Ripple of the Geo. Cutter Company with Atty. A. G. Graham appeared <br />r before the Board At their request in regard to the vacation of tracks off of <br />Division Street, and alleys. The Board took this -matter under advisement. <br />Mr. Thoms.s Berkely appeared before the Board in regard to putting in water <br />tap on Michigan Street. This matter was referred to the City Water Department for <br />inve sit gat ion. <br />Mr., Joseph Krill appeared before the Board in regard to the opening and <br />improving of Washington Avenue., The Board instructed Mr. Krill to present a petition <br />for this improvement and the same would be given consideration. <br />Mr. C. W. Copp of the Civic Federation appeared before the Board in regard to <br />the improvement of Ewing Avenues, along Run Village The Board agreed to go out <br />✓ over said street and look the same over. <br />Atty. Meyers representing the Chicago Lake Shore and South Bend Raillvay <br />Company appeared before the Board and presented contracts in regard to the hauling <br />of freight in to the City over La Salle Avenue and the placing of a f reight house, <br />Mr. . Marvin Ort appeared before the Board and preseeted a remonstrance <br />signed by prppervy owners on La Salle Avaue this City iu%nstrating against the <br />hauling of freight trains through west La Salle Avenue and over said Company's <br />eight of way on said nest La Sa le Avenue.
