I. as the time when petitions must be filed, and the Board hereby continues <br />this matter until the llth. day of April 1916 at 10:00 A.M. and .all bids were referred <br />to the City Engineer for tabulation and he has reported the lowest and best bid. Made this 29th . day. of March 1916 by and between <br />GUST SEIFERT. AND RUDOLPH SEIFFERT, partners doing business under the firm name and style <br />of Seifert Brothers parties of the first part, and THE CITY OF SOUi H BEND,INDI11 NA <br />by and through its Board of Public Works, party of the second part,WITNE,�ZETH: <br />That for and in consideration of the agreements and prmises herein <br />made to be performed by the party of the second part, the parties of the first part <br />agree to paint the fence surrounding the City Cemetery in the City of South Bend with <br />one coat o.f ou.re graphite paint, -standard quality, mixed with pure linseed oil, and in <br />good wnrkffian3ike manner. Said fence being 41,420 feet in length and six feet in height. <br />The front entrance now painted white shall be painted. white with one coat of pure white <br />white lead and pure linseed oil. And they further agree to do all said work under the <br />direction of and to the approval of the City Sexton. Said painting shall not be done <br />wrien the surface is wet or damp. All material to be furnished by parties of the 'first <br />part. All cans of paint and' oil shall be opeadd on the ground alid in presence of sexton <br />Said work shall be completed on or before May 27th.1916. <br />In consideration of -the performance of the above contract in the <br />manner as abovr provided by the parties of the Hirst part, the party of the second part, <br />agrees to pay said part es of the first part the sum of One Hundred Fifty -three <br />( $15-3. 00) Do lla rs. <br />And it is further agreed that the party of the second part may <br />require the parties of the first part to furnish satisfactory proof that all accounts <br />for material and labor used and furnished in doing said work have been fully paid:- by the <br />parties of the first part; and that the party of the second part may retain out .of said <br />sum to be paid to the parties of the first part any amounts necessary for the payment of <br />any labor or materials not paid for by the parties of the first part. <br />In Witness whereof, the .p rties have hereunto set their hands <br />this 29t h. day of March 1916. <br />I <br />CITY -OF SOUTH BEND <br />INDIANA. <br />By E .
