AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT— COVELESKI STADIUM REHABILITATION — 2012 IMPROVEMENTS — PROJECT NO 112 -007 (SBCDA TIF) -- OPENING OF BIDS SBCDA TIF After reviewing the bids for the above referenced project, Mr. Schalliol recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder Larson - Danielson Construction Co., 302 Tyler Street, LaPorte, Indiana 46305, in the amount of $1,408,845.00, which is the Base Bid plus Alternates 5 and 7 pursuant to the finance agreement being approved. Mr. Schalliol noted this award leaves $66,155.00 available in contingency funds. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded and the Construction Contract approved as outlined above. Mr. Inks seconded the motion, which carried.
