Street, by..paving-the roadway the same, and `WHEIZ>✓ASc the'City Civil Engineer has preparcd and filed in the office of this Board a report sliowirg the runtber and locationp �of the service ipes,• mains, conduits, lateral:, and connections which are, or will be necessary"to acceirmcccte the abutting property and .the owners thereof with gas, water, sever, and other conveniences and neccss.xfes: and aho said City Givil Engineer has prepared and filed in said office specifications showing the mater'al to be used and the miner of laying said service pipes mains, conduits, laterals and connections from the mains to the points in- j side the curb lines. 4 THEREFORE, be- it resolved by the Board of Public Wcrkes of the City of South Benct, Indiana, that the report of the City Civil Ergireer is adopted, and ra`d report srd the specificeticrs prepared and fae.d by him are made a part of this resolution as fully and effectually as if copied herein at full length; and it is fur- they ordered that all of such privat confections with the sewer, gas, and water mains be made in said street !, by bringing them inside the curb lines thereof. And be it further resolved that notice by p".rblication for two succcss:ve days in South Bend Tr: butte , a newspaper of general circulation printed and publ shed in the City of SouthBend _ -Indiana, be given to the owners of the property abutting upon said street to be unproved directing them to make such sewer and water connections on or before the I Rt h - day of.'� 2� 192 and that if said connections are not made on or before said time and in accordance with the speci- fications and report on file in the office of the Board of the Public Works, & n said Board will cause . the same to be made and will asses the cost thereof against the property abutting upon said street, and shall do all other things pertaining thereto according to the provisions and regoirrrcnts cf Ordinerce No. 1842 adopted by the Common Council of the City of South Pend on JLly 24, 1916, and cf ell cth(r crdinarces and law relating thereto. - ay be it- further resolved and ordered that after the 20 di t ericd has elapsed for the raking cf said connecti�y-the property owners, , a notice shall�be published for two weeks, once each week, in toe outh Bend T--_ C ibl=e , a newspaper of general circulation publ'sbd in said city, requesting bids from contraetors for the making of such connections as have not been matte by the property ow ners, and such notice shall fix a day, not earlier than ten days after the first of such publications," when bids shai' be opened and a contract let for the doing of said work. And be_ it -further ordered that the Northern IndiEna Gas and Electric Ccrrpar.y, which holds a fran. chise from, and is en»Nsrel by sa;d city to furais!a artificial gas to the citizens thereof, and is engaged in said business iz sill city, is h.re'-3y directed t-) make and install all service connections with .its mains in said Street in - accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1555 adopted June 27 1910 and such other ordi- taanees or laws applicable theteto; which connections are a:cvn trcu the r(pctt cf Ile City Civil Engineer, and which are hereby declared to be necessary in supplying gas to the owner of property abutting upon ,Pid street.
