Councilmember Henry Davis asked if the project would use local labor. Gary Gilot outlined steps <br />already taken to assure local labor would be given first consideration. <br />Six members of the public were present to speak for the project. Marguerite Taylor spoke to the <br />"affordable component' of the project. Bill Stenz, President of the Near Northeast Council said it <br />was a good project, along time coming. Tim Sexton, speaking as the President of the NNRO- <br />Board of Directors urged the committee take this final step of a long trek. <br />Andy Kostielny, St. Joe County Commissioner, as well as Louella Webster, a nearby resident and <br />Ann Puzzello, former 4th District Councilmember, also strongly supported the project. <br />There were no remonstrators. <br />On a motion by Councilmember Varner, a second by Councilmember Fred Ferlic and support <br />from all the bill was sent to Council favorably. <br />Bill No. 12 -02 — Special Exception for 918 Oliver Plow Ct. <br />This bill would simply allow reconfigured storage for business in Oliver Plow Ct. <br />Mark Lyons, representing the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA), reported the petition had received <br />unanimous approval of the BZA. <br />Mike Danch briefly spoke to the technical reason for the petition. <br />On a motion by Councilmember Gavin Ferlic, seconded by Councilmember Varner and supported <br />unanimously the bill was sent to Council favorably. <br />There being no further business to come before the committee at this time, Chairperson Oliver <br />Davis adjourned the meeting at 3:53 p.m. <br />Re ArJ. d, <br />li <br />Zoning and Annexation Committee <br />
