314 <br />Councilman Goebel appeared before the Board and stated that the <br />Goa Company was going to lay maims in Lafayette Street from Gsarst to Stull St, <br />and requested that they be notified to lay sushi Maine in alkey east of Lafayette <br />Street. The Board instructed the Clerk to have; G. M. Johnson,''kgr. Of the Gas <br />Company, auto meeting Tuesday December 9ths ,1919, at 10 00 SIM, <br />Councilman Goebel also took up the matter of Beet ing bids for the <br />re -des; prat ing of the City Hall as the Runic ipal. + Lesgue would hold their regular <br />session in June of .1920 in South Bend. the Board agfPe*d to hake up this matter, <br />Councilman Goebel stated that the Coune il' would l allow the °money to des the same. <br />Mr, Fe C. Rafts Agent for the Oliver Chilled Plow Works >tppeared <br />before the Board•an:d filed the following petitions.- for the James Oliver -Estate, <br />. M <br />P.ET.IT.T0N <br />We the undersigned property owners, hereby petition your Board to <br />vacate .Walnut Strut from -Indiana Av'enu& to Sample Street in the City of South <br />B—end,. and hereby agree that in the event Walnut -Street as above described, is ` <br />vacated 'are agree to the; opening of Pulaaki, Street from Indiana Avenue to Sample <br />Street and agree to dedicate same to the Dubl ie nsi a 50 foot street. We further <br />agree to " Install grade,' curb and walk' under proper resolution of the Board of <br />Public Works. It being stipulated and agreed, however, that in the event Walnut <br />Street, as above described, is not vacated, they the offer herein 'contained <br />relative to the. opening of .Pulaski Street, above :described is hereby withdrawn. <br />< .
