South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — January 24, 2012 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />A. Public Hearings <br />(1) continued... <br />Ms. Jones opened the Public Hearing on <br />Resolutions No. 2975, 2976, 2977, 2978, <br />2979, 2980, 2981, 2982, 2983 and 2984 for <br />whoever wished to speak. There was no one <br />who wished to speak regarding Resolutions <br />No. 2975, 2976, 2977, 2978, 2979, 2980, <br />2981, 2982, 2983 and 2984. Ms. Jones <br />closed the Public Hearing for whatever <br />action the Commission wished to take. <br />(2) Consideration of Resolution No. 2975. <br />Mr. Varner requested that staff be a little <br />more specific about the Airport TIF and the <br />Downtown TIF so the Commission could <br />have a better handle on how the funds are to <br />be spent. <br />Ms. Jones noted that in the past the Executive <br />Sessions have been held to allow the <br />Commissioners to review the strategies for <br />each area prior to the Public Hearings. She <br />would like to have that opportunity again in <br />the future before being asked to approve the <br />appropriation resolutions. <br />Mr. Inks clarified to Mr. Varner that that $10 <br />million of the $30 million in the Airport TIF <br />is under contract which rolls over from one <br />year to the next. <br />Ms. Leonard Inks added that $9.5 million is <br />encumbered already.
