ARTICLE XIII <br />Holidays <br />The following days shall be recognized as unpaid holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of <br />July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day Following Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. All work <br />performed on these recognized holidays shall be paid for at double (2) times the regular rate. No work <br />shall be performed on Labor Day except in case of emergency or to protect lives or property, and then <br />only after permission has been requested and granted by the Union or its representative. If the Holiday <br />falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered the recognized Holiday. If the Holiday <br />falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be considered the recognized Holiday. <br />On projects covered by a Project Labor Agreement, General President's Agreement, National <br />Maintenance Agreement, or any other national or local agreement superseding this Agreement, the <br />parties agree that the holidays, during the term of such project, shall be recognized in accordance with <br />such other agreement, and such other agreement shall supersede the provisions set forth herein. <br />ARTICLE XIV <br />Reporting Pay <br />Any employee reporting to work at the regular starting time shall receive two (2) hours pay at the <br />regular hourly rate unless he or she has been notified, at least nva (2) hours prior to the reporting time, <br />not to report to work. Any employee who reports to work and for whom work is provided shall receive <br />no less than two (2) hours pay. <br />ARTICLE XX <br />Travel Pay <br />When computing the mileage paid for personal vehicle usage and job -site reporting, a free zone of twenty- <br />five (25) miles shall be established. The free zone shall start from the L.0 H65/South Bond area <br />Employer's shop; in the case of out -of -area Employers, expense zones for LU 1165/South Bend members <br />shall start from 1345 Northside Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana. Mileage shall be competed by the most <br />direct route determined by a computer -generated Internet map, such as Mapquest. <br />a. Beyond the above free zone, the Employees shall receive the IRS standard mileage rate <br />from the boundary of the free zone to the job site and back to the boundary. Only the owner of the vehicle <br />will receive this mileage pay. Employees driving company owned vehicles do not receive mileage pay. <br />b. All riding time before regular starting time and after regular quitting time shall be paid <br />as straight time in quarter (1/4) hour increments. This does not apply when a Glazier is ordered to leave <br />the shop and report to a job after regular quitting time. This section applies whether in Company vehicles <br />or Glaziers' personal vehicles. However, the Employee, while operating Company vehicles beyond their <br />regular eight (8) hour shift, shall be paid on a time and one-half (1 and'/z) basis. This does not apply to <br />Employees for their personal use of the Company vehicles. <br />c. When employees are required to stay out of town, the Employer shall provide lodging, based on double <br />occupancy, with a $35.00 per diem for each employee for each overnight stay. <br />14 <br />
