A letter �vas received from Ralph Light askin,n� that he be reinstated , as a meraber of the Police Department. ELECTRICAL DEPARTfdIENT: PRr. tiVilliam Qualls, Superintendont, tivas present and matters pertaining to his department m�ere discussed. A resolution adopted by the Conmon Council �^ras presented •to the Board vrherein they request a report on the light ordered in at 30th and Hastings Streets and a report on the petition for a street light at 24th and Hastings Streets. This vras rePerred to Pdr. Qualls. Henry Sherman, a mersber of the Electrical Department, has requested a tti^�o months leave of abaence, and the Board, �upon Nir. Qualls recommenda- tion� approved his request and granted him a leave of absence £rom Januaryl 1948 until L?argh 1� 1948. A petition vaas received aslting for the installation of a street light at the first alley intersection 1Vest of Chapin Street on Morm oe Street. This was referred to Ivir. Qualls for investigation and report. rdr.
