Airport Economic Development Area <br /> (2) continued... <br /> at the St. Joseph County Commissioner's tax <br /> sale. Because of the length of time it took to <br /> receive tax deeds and get those tax deeds <br /> recorded, property taxes were assessed on <br /> many of these properties. <br /> Of this group of properties, five are in the <br /> name of the Commission (the remainder <br /> being in the name of the Board of Public <br /> Works. To release these accrued taxes and <br /> remove them from the tax rolls, the Auditor's <br /> Office requests a Petition to Release form be <br /> signed. <br /> Resolution No. 2993 authorizes this action, <br /> and authorizes Don Inks to sign these forms <br /> on the Commission's behalf. <br /> Staff requests approval of Resolution <br /> No. 2993, to allow the removal of the <br /> accrued property taxes and penalties on these <br /> five parcels, and to remove them from the tax <br /> rolls. <br /> Mr. Varner asked if these were all residential <br /> properties. Mr. Relos responded that they are <br /> not. <br /> Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by COMMISSION APPROVEDTxE PETITION TO <br /> Mr. Varner and unanimously carried, the RELEASE ACCRUED TAx AND REMOVE <br /> Commission approved the Petition to Release PROPERTY FROM Tax ROLLS(MARCH 2010 Tax <br /> Accrued Tax and Remove Property from Tax SALE PROPERTIES. <br /> Rolls (March 2010 Tax Sale Properties). <br /> (3) Administrative Settlement for acquisition <br /> of 701 W.
