REGULAR MEETING JUNE 27, 2011 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING RECONVENED <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend reconvened in the <br />Council Chambers on the fourth floor of the County-City Building at 9:19 p.m. President <br />Derek D. Dieter presided with eight (8) members present. <br /> <br /> <br />BILLS - THIRD READING <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 10098-11 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 13, ARTICLE 10, OF <br />THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE <br />CONCERNING FIREARMS <br /> <br /> <br />This bill had third reading. Councilmember Henry Davis made a motion to amend this <br />bill as in the Committee of the Whole. Councilmember White seconded the motion <br />which carried. Additionally, Councilmember Varner made a motion to pass this bill as <br />amended. Councilmember Kirsits seconded the motion which carried by a roll call vote <br />of eight (8) ayes and one (1) nay (Councilmember Henry Davis.) <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 10099-11 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />APPROPRIATING $1,350,000 FROM MAJOR <br />CAPITAL INVESTMENT PROJECTS IN 2011 <br /> <br />This bill had third reading. Councilmember Henry Davis made a motion to amend this <br />bill as in the Committee of the Whole. Councilmember Puzzello seconded the motion <br />which carried which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Oliver Davis made a motion that this amended bill be defeated. <br />Councilmember White seconded the motion which was defeated by a roll call vote of five <br />(5) nays (Councilmember’s LaFountain, Puzzello, Kirsits, Rouse, Dieter) and four (4) <br />ayes (Councilmember’s Varner, Oliver Davis, White, Henry Davis.) <br /> <br />Councilmember Kirsits made a motion to pass this bill as amended. Councilmember <br />Puzzello seconded the motion, which carried. The bill passed by a roll call vote of five <br />(5) ayes (Councilmember Puzzello, Kirsits, Rouse, LaFountain, Dieter) and four (4) nays <br />(Councilmember Varner, Oliver Davis, White, Henry Davis.) <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 10100-11 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />FOR BUDGET TRANSFERS FOR VARIOUS <br />DEPARTMENTS WITHIN THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA FOR THE YEAR 2011 <br /> <br />This bill had third reading. Councilmember Varner made a motion to pass this bill. <br />Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded the motion which carried.
