2) The Engineer shall document information found relative to the condition and depth <br />of questionable lines. This information shall be provided to the demolition <br />contractors for informational purposes only. The burden of performance relative to <br />health and safety protection shall be placed on the demolition contractor as part of <br />the contract documents. <br />3) The Owner will provide approximate locations of wells installed on this site, if <br />applicable. The Engineer shall identify these wells on the drawings. These wells <br />shall specifically include monitoring wells, which will need to be protected <br />throughout demolition activities. This shall also include known water supply <br />wells, if any. <br />g. Site Grading and Drainage <br />1) The Engineer shall prepare a final grading and drainage plan for the site. <br />2) The intent of the plan will be to bring the site to elevations to provide positive <br />surface drainage and comply with the future use of the Project site. <br />3) New structures and piping shall only be provided as minimally necessary to meet <br />the City of South Bend requirements for on -site retention/detention and to limit the <br />collection of surface water. <br />4) Specifications shall also include the potential establishment of lawn or other low <br />maintenance surface, as directed by the Owner. The design of lawn irrigation is not <br />included and is considered an additional service to this contract. <br />h. Erosion Control Specifications <br />1) The Engineer shall prepare performance specifications for erosion and <br />sedimentation control during demolition. <br />2) These specifications will be prepared to require the demolition contractor to submit <br />plans for Owner review and otherwise comply with Indiana Administrative Code <br />"Rule 5" and "Rule 13". <br />3) The specifications shall be written to place the burden for performance and <br />obtaining permits on the successful bidder. This will allow the Owner and the <br />Engineer flexibility in enforcing the "performance" during demolition activities. <br />4) The Engineer shall prepare erosion control plans for the final site grading. <br />Maintenance of Traffic (Vehicular and Pedestrian) <br />1) The Engineer shall prepare Maintenance of Traffic Plans in accordance with the <br />City of South Bend requirements.
