Prepare surfaces to be coated as recommended by water repellent manufacturer for best results. <br />C. Do not start work until masonry mortar substrate is cured a minimum of 60 days. <br />D. Remove loose particles and foreign matter. <br />E. Remove oil and foreign substances with a chemical solvent that will not affect water repellent. <br />F. Coordinate with work of Section 04 0100, Maintenance of Masonry. <br />C, Allow surfaces to dry completely to degree recommended by water repellent manufacturer <br />before starting coating work. <br />3.3 APPLICATION <br />A. Apply water repellent in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, using procedures and <br />application methods recommended as producing the best results. <br />B. Apply at rate recommended by manufacturer, continuously over entire surface. <br />C. Apply two coats, minimurn. <br />D. Remove water repellent from unintended surfaces immediately by a method instructed by water <br />repellent manufacturer. <br />E. Provide manufacturer's field service representative to inspect preparation and application work <br />continuously during entire application period to ensure that manufacturer's "best practices" for <br />preparation and application are being followed. <br />END OF SECTION <br />WATER REPELLENTS <br />07 1900 - 3 <br />
