E. Prohibited Substances <br />In accordance with DOT rules, testing will be conducted for the presence of the <br />following substances: <br />ALCOHOL <br />AMPHETAMINES <br />COCAINE <br />MARIJUANA <br />OPIATE METABOLITES <br />PHENCYCLIDINE (PCP) <br />Detection levels requiring a determination of a positive result shall be in accordance <br />with the guidelines adopted by the DOT in accordance with the recommendations <br />established by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration <br />(DHHS; formerly "DHHS'}. <br />The Designated Employee Representative (DER) will, when possible, confer with <br />the medical review officer, and in the sole discretion of the Designated Employee <br />Representative (DER), in consultation with the medical review officer, should the <br />effect of these medications adversely affect an employee in a federally regulated <br />(DOT/CDL) position, that Employee may be temporarily removed or reassigned <br />from the federally regulated (DOT/CDL) position if deemed appropriate. <br />F. Prohibited Conduct <br />Alcohol concentration <br />No driver shall report for duty or remain on duty requiring the performance of safety - <br />sensitive functions while having an alcohol concentration of 0.04 or greater. No <br />employer having actual knowledge that a driver has an alcohol concentration of 0.04 or <br />greater shall permit the driver to perform or continue to perform safety -sensitive <br />functions. <br />On -duty use: <br />No driver shall use alcohol while performing safety -sensitive functions. No employer <br />having actual knowledge that a driver is using alcohol while performing safety -sensitive <br />functions shall permit the driver to perform or continue to perform safety -sensitive <br />functions. <br />
