South Bend Redevelopment Commission Regular Meeting -December 21, 2007 zoned mixed use. We want mixed use development that combines elements of multi-family residential, commercial retail, commercial office or entertainment. Any one of these uses or a mix of these uses would be considered, as well as site planning that would take into consideration parking to support the development. The Redevelopment Commission will weigh how the proposed improvements will positively or negatively impact the surrounding businesses, many of which have evidenced new investment recently, and the impact on traffic flow and safety for the parochial school across the street. Mr. Peczkowski asked about the "selling or leasing" language on page one. Ms. Laurent responded that that is standard language. We would only consider sale of the entire property. Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by Mr. Peczkowski and unanimously carried, the Commission approved the Bid Specifications and Design Considerations for property in the South Bend Central Development Area.
